Check Out Where Chester County Ranks Among Pennsylvania’s 10 Richest Counties

The Philadelphia Region is home to some of the wealthiest counties in the state, writes Lindsay Smith for the Centre Daily Times.

The ranking was determined by SmartAsset using data from the U.S. Census Bureau, the Internal Revenue Service, and real estate site Zillow.

Chester County ranked at No. 1 with a median income of $109,969. Bucks County took the No. 2 spot on the list. With a median income of $99,361, Montgomery County is the third wealthiest county. Delaware County was ranked No. 4 with a median income of $80,398, an investment income of $54,132 and a median home value of $320,109.

The company calculated that the investment income in Chester County is $60,108 and the median home value is $500,572.

Other counties that made the top ten include Centre County, Northampton, Butler, Lancaster, Cumberland, and Lehigh counties.
