A specialty optometry practice in Paoli is being acquired by a Horsham company in an effort to expand across the southeastern Pennsylvania region, writes John George for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

Personal Eyes will be joining Medical Optometry America’s Eye Health Center in Newtown Square; financial details of the acquisition are not public.

The Personal Eyes practice led by Dr. Marie Homa-Palladino focuses on treating nearsightedness or myopia.

“This partnership will allow me to focus on expanding myopia management services, particularly for younger patients in this area,” she said.

The medical director for the Newtown Square location is Dr. Christopher Kuc, whom Homa-Palladino knew prior to the acquisition.

The CEO of MOA, Ken Kreig said that his company plans to acquire around four to six more centers in the area. Kreig also said that he wants MOA to eventually expand across the mid-Atlantic.
