Thanks to its exquisite architecture, singular shops, and eateries, West Chester is one of the towns in Pennsylvania with the best main streets, writes Albert Quigg for the World Atlas

West Chester boasts many buildings that have been reconditioned and repurposed into stores and restaurants, as well as corporate offices. The main street is also home to several parks and outdoor recreational areas.

As a bonus, it’s close to numerous state parks, including Marsh Creek State Park, which offers a variety of outdoor activities like angling, trekking, and equestrianism.

The Chester County seat is also host to many occasions throughout the entire year, such as the Chester County Restaurant Festival and West Chester Christmas Parade, which highlights jubilant floats and marching bands.
