Since 2020, the demand for mental health services has skyrocketed in Chester County.

Nonprofits like Family Service of Chester County have seen an influx of people reaching out to receive services.

In response to an increase in the need for mental health services, Family Service of Chester County is looking to hire two full-time positions.

Family Service of Chester County helps to give people back their lives. Since 1947, Family Service has supported individuals and families through a continuum of services, including counseling, case management, housing, and family-strengthening programs.

The agency celebrated its 75th anniversary in 2022 and the counseling program remains its anchor program.

Family Service empowers overlooked communities and their members by providing low-cost, high-quality counseling services delivered by experienced, compassionate, and culturally-competent staff members.

Family Service has committed significant resources to help local families receive treatment regardless of cost. 

If you are a passionate and committed therapist, you might be a good candidate for one of two full-time positions available at Family Service.

The first position is a School-Based Therapist for the Counseling Program’s partnership with the Kennett Consolidated School District–MSW or a related degree is required.

The second available position is an Assistant Director for its Counseling Program–LCSW or equivalent license required.
