Mary Alice Dorrance Malone secured her spot on the list due her immense fortune as the the largest shareholder of the Campbell Soup Company. Back in 1897, her grandfather, John T. Dorrance, invented the soup that not only changed the company, but made an impact on American appetites.
When her father died in 1989, she and her two brothers shared about one-third of the company. Additionally, she is a board member alongside one of her brothers. She is the president of Iron Spring Farm in Coatesville, a horse-breeding and training company with operations in Pennsylvania and Florida.
At 73-years-old, Dorrance Malone sits at No. 715 in the world as of today and retains a net worth of $4 billion.
