Marsh Creek State Park in Chester County offers an abundance of aquatic activities. People of all ages can get their feet wet all through the summer. Watersports & Boat Rental at the park provides supplies for paddle boarding, sailing, and more, writes Courtney Diener-Stokes for The Daily Local News.

Multi-week camps teach children how to sail, out of one of the three different sailboats the park offers. But it’s not only tots that can get behind the wheel. Adults are also eligible to try out sailboats, electric motorboats, and paddle boards

If families are interested in hiking, assistant park manager Kim Bischof recommends the yellow trail for mountain bikers, and the white trail for families.

“We become one of the most heavily visited parks in the state,” said Bischof. “We have over one million visitors every year — the majority of those being between Memorial Day and Labor Day.”

The park also offers night kayaking tours on the 535-acre lake. It starts 30 minutes before sunset and falls on days when there is a full moon or new moon.

For the early birds, SUP (stand-up paddle) yoga is in the mornings on a weekly basis throughout the summer. For a more intense workout, the park also offers paddleboarding.
