Chester County Library is calling for teen artists for its Teen Artist-in-Residence Summer Program. The program provides a unique opportunity for teen artists to showcase their creativity, advocate for the arts, and share their talents with the community.

The selected Teen Artist-in-Residence will have access to a studio at the library where they can create on-site and share their creative process with library patrons. Additionally, the artist will lead a workshop for youth in the community and hold regular studio hours at the library. The residency will culminate in a show of the artist’s work.

The Teen Artist-in-Residence program is open to Chester County teens currently in grades 9-12. The ideal candidate should be passionate about creating and eager to connect and share their passion with others. Formal art training or coursework is not required.

The program is made possible by the generosity of the Friends of the Chester County Library.

Those Interested can apply online here by Thursday, June 1. For additional information, please contact the Teen Artist-in-Residence team at makerinresidence@ccls.org or visit the website.
