The popular Mexican cantina Al Pastor at Eagleview Town Center in Exton is expanding to Havertown and will replace the closed Town Tap on Benedict Avenue early this summer, writes Vince Carey for The Daily Local News

“Hot on the heels of grand opening Joey Chops in Malvern, we are ready to share that Al Pastor is coming to Havertown,” said Stove and Co. Restaurant Group owner Justin Weathers. “We are proud to bring our second location to a great community with amazing neighbors, so many young families and tons of great business people all around us.”

Like the original, which was a popular family-friendly meeting spot for years, the new restaurant will emphasize great food and margaritas, big flavors, and bold colors. The owners are aiming for a casual welcoming vibe.

Al Pastor will feature 100 seats inside along with a large outdoor margarita garden with 100 more seats.

The food menu will offer mostly shareables and handhelds, including up to 15 kinds of tacos, Mexican fried rice, Mexican ramen, and tuna ceviche tostada.

The bar will offer margaritas in both classic varieties and flavored, among many other drinks.
