Phoenixville’s Water World Sale More Than Doubles in Size in Hopes of Attracting Particular Crowd
The former Water World site in Phoenixville that was listed for sale earlier this month has more than doubled in size with the addition of a neighboring property, writes Paul Schwedelson for the Philadelphia Business Journal.
The originally 22-acre lot has added 32.9 acres after the owner of the adjacent property agreed to sell. This increased the property for sale to 55.1 acres and raised the original asking price of $2.85 million to $5.55 million.
The original site had already been already marketed for sale to homebuilders. Adding more acres provides potential buyers with more space to build.
“It allows for more players to be involved as far as buyers are concerned,” said Geoffrey Moody of KW Commercial, the listing agent for the property. “It allows for multiple developers to do a joint venture together.”
Moody believes the site would be ideal for a form of senior housing as it would put the least stress on both schools and traffic.
“We want to offer a development which will be the least detrimental to the fellow residents of the community,” he said.
