Nathan Breton, who grew up in West Chester, filmed part of his latest movie Fireflight at Bear Creek Mountain Resort in nearby Berks County, according to a staff report from WFMZ 69 News.
The film focuses on a group of friends who are navigating their challenging relationships as they try to figure out their futures.
Crews filmed for four days in February at Bear Creek to capture the scenes where the characters are sneaking into a ski resort during their weekend trip out of the city.
Breton decided to use Bear Creek because he used to ski there as a child.
According to producers, Bear Creek provided additional security for the cast and crew as well as food and caffeine during the overnight shoots.
The movie is expected to be released early next year.
