Honorees Chosen for Greater West Chester Chamber’s Annual Banquet

The honorees for this year’s Greater West Chester Chamber of Commerce Annual Banquet have been chosen. Blue Dog Printing & Design, Sue Casso-Rogers, and Unite for HER will be celebrated at the banquet, slated to take place at The Desmond Hotel and Conference Center in Malvern on Thursday, October 12, 2023. 

The Greater West Chester Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Banquet, sponsored by My Benefit Advisor, is an evening centered around honoring the people, businesses, and organizations that positively influenced the West Chester community during the previous year and beyond.

The 2022 Business of the Year Award, sponsored by West Chester University, will be presented to Blue Dog Printing & Design and its founders Bill and Debi Friedmann. Blue Dogs work in the community reaches far beyond their printing, graphic design, mailing services and promotional products business, of which they donate a significant amount to local organizations.

Sue Casso-Rogers, retired small business owner, active Rotarian and long-time West Chester resident will be recognized as the 2022 Outstanding Citizen of the Year. Casso-Rogers has a long history of service and recognition in the greater West Chester community, including President of the Rotary Club of West Chester, Assistant District Governor Rotary District 7450, Rotarian of the Year, and current Rotary Club secretary. She has also been Chairman of the Board West Chester Area YMCA, YMCA Volunteer of the Year, Chairman of the Board of the Greater West Chester Chamber, Board President Wentworth Home, March of Dimes Excellence in Business Award, and Commemorative Book Chairman of West Chester 200.   

Unite for HER will take home the 2022 Community Service Organization Award, sponsored by Fulton Bank. Founded by Sue Weldon in 2009 after a breast cancer diagnosis several years before. Unite for HER’s cornerstone has been to bridge the gap in resources for breast and ovarian cancer patients, by funding and delivering integrative care and services, focusing on wellness initiatives that will positively impact their health and well-being.
