Celeb Chef Guy Fieri Makes King of Prussia Mall Fast-Food Debut
Celebrity chef Guy Fieri is bringing his chain of branded fast-food outlets — Chicken Guy — to the King of Prussia Mall. Justin Heinze stayed abreast of the details in presenting them in the Norristown Patch.
Fieri’s decision to bring his fast-food brand over county lines is dollars-and-cents confirmation that as the pandemic continues to fade, entrepreneurs are getting braver in launching new food ventures.
According to corporate claims, Chicken Guy serves all-natural tenders that have been deeply marinated with herb-infused fresh lemon juice, pickle brine, and buttermilk. They are accompanied by a menu of 22 sauces.
Fieri got his culinary start vending pretzels from a cart in California. By the late 1990s, he was opening restaurants on the West Coast and eventually, in New York City.
A win on Season 2 of The Next Food Network Star in 2006 brought him to television.
In 2022, he launched his own reality show, centering on the Chicken Guy brand: Guy’s Chance of a Lifetime. Its grand prize, a franchise location, was won by a Philadelphia contestant; however, the Reality Blurred website reports no evidence of its ever opening.
More on the King of Prussia debut of Chicken Guy is at the Norristown Patch.
