For several years now, The Arc of Chester County’s Annual Holiday Giving Program has brought much happiness and support to those entrusted in its care with financial needs during the holidays.

As an organization, it comes together annually to identify participants and families in need during the holidays and to provide gifts in lieu of exchanging presents amongst themselves. The Arc’s board members and staff donate to bring much joy and happiness to many in need at The Arc.

The Arc is pleased to announce that Walmart provided a generous grant to jump-start this year’s Holiday Giving Program.

Earlier this month, the Walmart Community Grants Team and Facility #2167 in Exton awarded The Arc of Chester County a grant, which kicked off this year’s Holiday Giving Program. In just two weeks, The Arc has collected over $4,200 in donations and counting!

This year’s goal is to raise $6,550 to support purchasing gift cards that will be given to the 131 Individuals (59 households) that have been identified as needing financial support and to brighten their holiday season.

“The Arc of Chester County’s Holiday Giving Program is a long and important program to many individuals with disabilities and their families being served by The Arc of Chester County and every year I am amazed and touched by how compassionate and generous our board, staff, and community are to those less fortunate.

“We send our heartfelt gratitude to Walmart and our many boards, staff, community friends, and partners for their support of this program,” shared Jeanne Meikrantz, Arc CEO.
