West Chester High Schooler Debuts on Stage with Green Day

By

Zach Marsden, a high school student from West Chester, had his public debut on stage last weekend with none other than Green Day, according to a staff report from 6ABC

Marsden took the stage with the popular band on Saturday at the Firefly Music Festival in Dover, Delaware.

Marsden and his friends arrived at the festival fully prepared: they settled close to the stage and held up a sign that read “Zach can play guitar.”

Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong noticed the group during the band’s performance and invited the Henderson High School honors student to come on stage.

Marsden took full advantage of this amazing opportunity, jamming and dancing his way across the stage.

The teen – who now has a memory of a lifetime – later explained he is self-taught on the six-string and he just likes “to get up there and boogie.”
