With Fall Enrollment Wrapped Up, See How Local Colleges and Universities Did in Attracting New Students

Chester County colleges and universities released reports about fall enrollment numbers, writes Susan Snyder for The Philadelphia Inquirer

Among four-year public and state-related colleges, Lincoln University recorded an overall enrollment drop of 4.5 percent from last year and is now at 1,829. Freshman enrollment is at 396, which is a decrease of 16.5 percent. 

Meanwhile, West Chester University saw its overall enrollment go down by less than two percent compared to last year and is now at 17,275. Additionally, the number of freshmen has increased by 14 percent compared to last year, going up to 3,006. 

Among private colleges, Immaculata University reported a drop in overall enrollment of four percent from last year, at 2,370. The number of traditional full-time freshmen is also down to 250, a 25 percent decrease from last year.
