Owners of the recently opened Shine Nutrition in West Chester have a simple goal: they want to help people feel good about themselves, writes Bill Rettew for the Daily Local News

“If anyone is having a bad day, we want them to come in here and just feel the love, feel the positive vibes, and walk out with a smile on their face,” said coach and healthy bartender Heather Gregg. “And that’s what has been happening. Everyone has been leaving with a smile.”

Gregg opened the nutrition club with coach and healthy bartender Cristen Schoonover. They sell over 50 types of smoothies. Some favorites include Elvis Peanut Butter Banana, Peanut Butter Cookie Dough, and Tropical Fusion.

The smoothies contain 24 grams of protein and 24 vitamins and minerals each. They have 240 or fewer calories and are also low in sugar.

“They taste sinful, but they actually are great food and are very good for you,” said Gregg.

The club also offers cold energy teas, guarana, and protein peanut butter balls.

The business officially opened its doors on August 4. The space has 18 seats and two bars.
