Mid Penn Bank Partners with Public FM Radio Station to Form Diversity Program
Mid Penn Bank has partnered with WITF to inform and educate its employees and communities on DEI initiatives within the Mid Penn Community. Bank President and CEO, Rory Ritrievi, was joined by Blake Lynch, chief impact officer of WITF to host a kickoff event at Mid Penn University in Harrisburg to discuss the value of the partnership and explain the educational opportunities it will offer.
Mid Penn employees will receive DEI training from industry leaders through quarterly lunch and learn discussions and participate in community outreach events throughout its footprint.
The partnership will also provide resources to further develop and enhance the bank’s corporate DEI practices. Mid Penn and WITF will work together to provide opportunities for Mid Penn’s employees to learn and understand the challenges faced by diverse groups and how the organization can provide the best consumer experiences to members of underserved communities. WITF will help develop awareness and ways for employees to engage in discussions and learning opportunities surrounding the increasingly diverse communities where they work and live.
“We are delighted to team up with WITF in its efforts to educate viewers on the experiences of diverse communities. Moreover, our partnership with WITF will be a phenomenal resource for our employees and our communities to promote further understanding of, and engagement with, our DEI initiatives,” Ritrievi said.
WITF, Central Pennsylvania’s leading public media organization and source for news, education, and entertainment airs DEI programs all year long that bring to life stories of diverse people through documentary programs that explore their histories, cultures, experiences, and contributions. This programming strengthens civil discourse and encourages diversity, equity, and inclusion within our communities.
