The reader might not have enough time to read novel-length emails in a busy work environment, so making your emails precise and scannable is also important. This can be achieved by using bullets or paragraph indentions to break up longer content and highlighting important parts using bolding.
Always proofread your emails before sending them to ensure you avoid mistakes that make you sound unprofessional.
Also, make sure to promptly reply to emails you receive. If you need more time, notify the sender that you will respond as soon as you are able.
Finally, set out-of-office emails if you are going on vacation or you will be out of the office for a while.
