Chaddsford Winery is preparing for a month-long celebration that will mark its four decades in business, writes Paul Vigna for the Harrisburg Patriot-News

One of Pennsylvania’s best-known wineries popular for its dry still and sparkling wines and is still one of the largest wineries by volume in the state producing approximately 24,000 cases annually.

Chaddsford Winery features several events each year which will culminate with the anniversary celebration that will be capped by a wine pairing dinner on Sept. 30. The closing event will be co-hosted by current winemaker Gabriel Rubilar and Eric Miller, with each of them having chosen five wines to pair with a small plate tasting menu.

Other anniversary-related events will include a limited release of the winery’s ‘19 Timing is Everything, 40th anniversary wine, the grand opening of the bottle shop and tasting room in Lahaska, and two 40th Anniversary Celebration Weekends.

The anniversary weekends will take place on Sept. 10-11 and Sept. 17-18 in Chadds Ford. Participants will get to enjoy exclusive wine flights, limited-edition reserve tastings, and food truck fare. The first 100 visitors each day will get a free birthday cookie Pairing.
