The Arc of Chester County was awarded $23,950 from The National Philoptochos Society for 10 Surface Pro Tablets for its Children’s Early Learning & Services Program (CELSP).

These tablets will allow 24 teachers, therapists, and interventionists to support the growth and development of the children in the early intervention and preschool programs. Close to 300 children will benefit from this generous grant.

After extensive research, The Arc of Chester County determined that handheld technology could drastically increase The Arc’s ability to enhance programs and services provided to families and students in CELSP.

These state-of-the-art technology tools will allow The Arc’s special education teachers and therapists to provide high-quality services and supports through virtual means and decrease the time needed to document progress and service delivery —leaving more time to spend with the children.

Thanks to this generous grant from The National Philoptochos Society it will be possible for The Arc of Chester County to continue to increase the accessibility of services and allow experienced staff to collaborate in real-time, leading to enhanced benefits for children and their families.

Organizations like The National Philoptochos Society and their generous contributions along with individuals who donate and support The Arc are critical to the vitality of this non-profit organization.

These donations provide the essential funding to help individuals with disabilities and their families live with dignity and respect beyond what government sources will fund. Every grant and dollar is needed and greatly appreciated by The Arc of Chester County.
