Meeting with your manager to receive feedback is necessary both for new and seasoned employees. Being open to feedback can show a willingness to grow in those areas where you need to improve. It is also important to go into the meeting accepting that you will not only receive a glowing report on your performance.

Be an active listener during the meeting and let your manager know that you will be taking notes. Take some time after the meeting to go through the notes and reflect on the conversation and how you can start incorporating the new feedback as soon as possible.
