West Chester resident Anna Evans has launched a Fit4Mom, a fitness and wellness franchise dedicated to helping prenatal and postpartum mothers stay active, writes Melissa Jacobs for Main Line Tonight.

Fit4Mom, which has more than 300 locations in the U.S., celebrates the strength in motherhood.

Evans, who has two children under the age of 10, became a franchise owner after injuring herself when she went back to her pre-pregnancy workout routines after giving birth.

“One of my huge aims is to help moms create their villages,” said Evans, a certified personal trainer. “We’ll be having special events about mental health, nutrition, and other topics. I want to create a support network to help women with those early motherhood years.”

Fit4Mom Upper Main Line will host the franchise’s signature class, Stroller Strides, which incorporates both mothers and their children, at Malvern’s Greentree Park throughout the spring.

“I want to change the narrative about moms and exercise,” she said. “We can do it if we do it properly — and together.”
