Safe Harbor of Chester County Holds Sunny Golf Outing; Raises Funds for Grayer Days Ahead for the Homeless
The October 18 Safe Harbor Golf Classic at Chester Valley Golf Club, presented by Forethought, inc. was a successful, fun event, and the organizers are extremely grateful to all who participated.
But the good times it brought to participants doesn’t undercut the importance of the support players provided.
In a year where economic upheaval — caused by COVID-19 and a host of other factors — caused significant local rises in homelessness, the Safe Harbor fundraiser took on special importance.
Recently the increase of rent, soaring home prices, and a lack of building supplies is causing even more difficulty for those on the bubble to keep their current housing situation. The lack of affordable housing is causing many people to face homelessness for the first time.
Safe Harbor’s mission to help the homeless is supported by great fundraising events like they had earlier this month, and its staff wishes to thank all who played that day.
In addition, they are particularly grateful to their generous sponsors:
|Platinum||Qurate Retail Group, Dr. Robert & Marilyn Parsons and Family|
|Gold||E. Kahn Development|
|Golf Ball||The Kaufmann Family|
|Golf scorecards||Park Power|
|Cocktail hour||Curt and Kerry Nelson & Family|
