West Chester is home to a pair of the region’s best spots to engage in society’s latest craze: axe throwing, writes Rachel Spurlock for Main Line Today.

Tilted Axes offers visitors a casual, urban atmosphere in which they can learn how to throw an axe. There are many other activities available as well, including a dance floor, pool tables, and video games.

Axe-throwing sessions usually last about two hours, with prices starting at $38.99. You can BYOB or have your drinks delivered from Saloon 151.

Stumpy’s Hatchet House is a big name in the axe-throwing world. The chain was started in 2015 by Stuart and Kelly Josberger and Mark and Trish Oliphant. They have since expanded nationwide and are planning to add more locations.

The prices at this West Chester location start at $25 an hour for groups of up to four people and $40 for two hours for groups of five or more. There is a pour-your-own-beer system and you can bring your own food.
