After 18 months of research and interviews, Chester Springs resident and Malvern Prep graduate Blake Gunther has produced a book that shares wisdom from 38 mothers of successful people, writes Bill Rettew for the Daily Local News.

The 310-page book highlights the upbringing of the participating mothers’ children and where they came from.

Entitled Creatrix, the book’s subtitle lists its content: “Wisdom, insights, and principles shared by the mothers of success stories in sports, business, and culture.”

The mothers Gunther interviewed raised CEOs, entertainers, comedians, musicians, athletes, and entrepreneurs.

Their advice was varied. One warned about living in the past. Another encouraged taking educated risks. Audrey Garrett, mother of Cleveland Browns star Myles Garrett, emphasized the importance of appreciating each event.

“I was so busy pushing everyone to the next milestone that I think I missed some great things,” she said. “If I could go back, I think I would have slowed down and smelled those individual moments like individual roses.”

The author, a West Chester University graduate, dedicated the book to his mother, Michele.
