A new event space in Berwyn, The House of Wonders Hosted by Lost Orchid Interiors, will offer a post-pandemic antidote to a year of isolation, writes Rebecca Adler for SAVVY Main Line.
Partners Andrea Cummins-Disbro and Jennifer Schofield imagine the space as an intimate and immersive oasis. Their expectation is that it will curate its own series of themed community events. Its design provides a space for people to get together, connect, and build relationships — all while creating unforgettable memories.
The first planned event is this weekend’s Derby Days, a horse-themed affair with mocktail mint juleps, catered food, and a band. Attendees can purchase items curated by Cummins-Disbro, owner of Lost Orchid Interiors.
The event is an opportunity to don some of the best and flashiest derby attire, participate in the hat contest, and browse hand-selected items.
“Offering a location where women can get dressed up and get fancy is reason (enough) to do this right now!” said Cummins-Disbro.
