Check Out Chester County’s Vaccine Data and Where COVID-19 Is Spreading the Most, Least

According to the Pennsylvania Department of Health, 247,320 people in Chester County have been either partially or fully vaccinated for COVID-19 as of April 22. This means that 59 percent of the county’s eligible population (age 16 and older) has now received either the first or second dose of the vaccine.

Some areas of Chester County are more affected than others by the spread of COVID-19, write Sean Adams and Megan Lavey-Heaton for the Harrisburg Patriot-News.

The latest numbers compiled by Pennsylvania Department of Health have highlighted the rates of COVID-19 infection in each ZIP Code statewide for the seven days ending April 21, compared with the infection rates for the seven days prior.

In Chester County, the highest percentage increase in new cases during this period was in ZIP Code 19344 (Honey Brook), which recorded an increase of 5.28 percent.

ZIP Code 19465 (Saint Peters) is next with an increase of 4.93 percent, followed by ZIP Code 19475 (Spring City) at 4.54 percent.

Also, ZIP Codes 19343 (Glenmoore) and 19350 (Landenberg) recorded increases of 4.29 and 4.23 percent, respectively.

Meanwhile, ZIP Code 19520 (Elverson) reported an increase of just 0.4 percent. ZIP Codes 19348 (Kennett Square) and 19352 (Lincoln University) had an uptick of 1.65 percent and 1.68 percent, respectively.
