AmerisourceBergen will soon call Sora West in Conshohocken its new home.

AmerisourceBergen is preparing to move from Chesterbrook to its new headquarters in Conshohocken this summer when the office component of the Sora West mixed-use development is completed, writes Natalie Kostelni for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

The pharmaceutical giant is already making some adjustments to the new space due to the pandemic. These include installing furniture and coverings that are easily cleaned and disinfected and choosing fabrics that can be bleached if needed. The cubicles at the 11-story, 429,122-square-foot building will also be evenly spaced out.

Meanwhile, the company has adopted new office protocols to clean all high-touch points on the premises every day, on an hourly basis. Additionally, AmerisourceBergen has added touch-free appliances, including drinking dispensers, soap machines, and water faucets.

“We are using science and data to make decisions and validate recommendations and procedures,” said Lauren Esposito, a spokeswoman at the company. “We rely on CDC and WHO guidelines as guidance continues to evolve.”

AmerisourceBergen will occupy the entire building, but it will leave an area without offices to be used as needed “to keep our employees comfortable, healthy, and safe,” said Esposito.

Around 1,500 employees are expected to work in the building.
