This Local Wawa Sold a Winning Lottery Ticket Worth $1 Million

A customer at the Wawa located at 215 Lancaster Avenue in Wayne purchased a scratch-off ticket there now worth $1 million, writes Michael Tanenbaum for Philly Voice.

The $20 “Jackpot Party” ticket was purchased this past weekend amidst huge jackpots for Powerball and Mega Millions.

The game offers a top prize of $1 million. The Wawa will get a $5,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

The ticket was claimed within days of other winning tickets being sold.

Last Wednesday, a Powerball ticket worth $731 million was sold in Lonaconing, Md.

The Powerball jackpot was hit again a few days later in Clifton, N.J., this time for $23 million.

On Friday night, a Kroger store in suburban Detroit sold the winning ticket for $1.05 billion in the Mega Millions drawing, the third-largest lottery prize in U.S. history.
