West Whiteland-based Ramshield is at the forefront in the distribution of pioneering new technology for personal protective equipment, writes Donna Rovins for the Daily Local News.

The medical equipment startup that supplies proprietary healthcare and PPE products worldwide is one of the few authorized, private distributors of a new facemask that is considered to be a “game changer” in the fight against the coronavirus.

The new technology used by the mask both prohibits germs from breaking through its barrier and kills viruses, including COVID-19. The mask is manufactured in the country by American Biomedical Pandemic Mask and uses ABGI-developed technology.

“We are excited about getting America back to work and back to class and helping to provide a better safety net against the coronavirus,” said Samantha Partovi, president and CEO of Ramshield.

Production of the facemask has just started and preorders can be made on Ramshield’s website. The first shipments are expected to go out by the end of this month.

“We are hoping the word gets out quickly, so we can help protect more people during the height of this pandemic,” said Partovi.
