Now that Thanksgiving is behind us, local families are once again heading to West Chester’s Griswold House for some holiday cheer, writes Jaclyn Lee for 6ABC.

The Plummer family went out of its way to make this year – which was otherwise full of disruption and change – special and to keep a sense of wonder for families.

“Some husbands follow sports,” said Lauren Plummer. “My husband thinks about Christmas all year.”

Plummer said that her husband David and their son Evan are responsible for the whole delightful setup, from the “Letters to Santa” Dropbox to Santa’s appearances in the upstairs window.

“We just take it out of the garage and bring it out and plug it all in,” said Evan. “It’s a fun process.”

The family started their decorating early in September. The decorations they put around their home for everybody to enjoy have accumulated over the last few decades.

“We just kind of put it out there and hope people find joy,” said Plummer. “It’s just part of sharing the joy of the season.”
