This is usually because of Delaware County cases that are incorrectly assigned to Chester County, which the Chester County Health Department corrects prior to reporting. In the last 24 hours, 297 new cases and one death were recorded, bringing the county’s totals to 16,154 cases and 442 deaths.
Meanwhile, the state has reported 9,556 new cases.
Chester County’s 16,154 cases represent 3.2 percent of Pennsylvania’s 509,320 total cases.
