Pennsylvania is initiating “targeted efforts to control the spread of coronavirus in Pennsylvania,” but so far no lockdowns have been put in place for Delaware County, writes Max Bennett for Patch, as reported by Yahoo!

At the same time, Philadelphia health officials urged nearby counties to impose tighter restrictions, similar to what the city has done, reports Dann Cuellar for 6ABC. It has shut down indoor dining, gyms, and casinos.

The state is ordering that masks must be worn outdoors if you cannot stay six feet away and worn at all times indoors, regardless of distance.

The actions are in response to an explosion of coronavirus cases in Pennsylvania in the past two weeks.

“Trying to get everybody in the mindset, that it’s not just about me, it’s about us. I’m real concerned. The shutdown we went through in March through June was very difficult and very hard for everyone. We don’t want to go through that again,” said Mike Ranck, CEO of the Community YMCA of Eastern Delaware County.

Bars and restaurant owners are also worried.
