The 222-acre Berwyn estate known as Rock Hill Farm hit the market earlier this week as the most expensive listing in Pennsylvania at $38.25 million, writes Beckie Strum for Mansion Global.
Set at the center of three scenic roads, the estate centers on a Colonial mansion built in 1900. The residence is surrounded by beautiful fields with a lush forest cut by walking trails.
“I know this is corny, but it’s like being in the movie The Sound of Music,” said listing agent Jack Aezen of Compass. “You feel like you’re in some place that’s been preserved so beautifully and loved so well.”
In addition to the 10-bedroom home, the property also boasts five more cottages that are dispersed over the land and currently serve as staff lodging. Many of them are historic structures in their own right, such as the one with ties to notable Quaker Benjamin Cox, the farm’s original owner.
There’s also an apple orchard, chicken coop, and several greenhouses.
The property is being offered in two parcels, one for a little more than $20 million and the other for $17.7 million.
