Meet ERCC at ‘Support Your Local Chamber of Commerce Day’ on Oct. 21

By

Support Your Local Chamber of Commerce Day is observed annually on the third Wednesday in October.

A chamber of commerce’s primary objective is to strengthen local businesses of all sizes. The best way to honor a chamber is to use the services of chamber businesses and organizations that support their community.

Chambers of commerce have been in existence since 1912. President William Howard Taft first presented the concept for an organization that would represent the concerns of U.S. businesses in an address to Congress in December 1911. Chambers of commerce aim to deepen professional relationships by hosting networking events and workshops, promoting local services, and advocating for the business community.

Through these efforts, local chambers create a stronger community and a stronger economy

The Exton Region Chamber of Commerce, incorporated in 1972, has had various names in the past 50 years and continues its mission to advance the economic success of the community by providing relationship building, marketing, education, advocacy, and community outreach opportunities.

How can you show support?

Give a shout-out to your local chamber of commerce and how they benefit your community. While you’re at it, be sure to use #SupportYourLocalChamberOfCommerce to post on social media! Help ERCC build a stronger Exton region and contact a member business first when in need of certain goods and services. See who these members are by clicking here.

Do you know a business interested in gaining the benefits of membership? Invite them to ERCC’s Meet the Chamber Cornhole Tournament networking event on Wednesday, Oct. 21 from 4-7 PM at the Hilton Garden Inn in Exton. The best way to learn if the ERCC is the chamber for you is to meet those who have maximized their membership and the benefits it provides.
