Billy Papatzikas and Chris Peticacis, the new owners of TJ’s Restaurant & Drinkery in Paoli, have decided to embrace the winning vision of the previous owners and stick with the formula that has been working for the last 16 years, writes Ken Alan for Main Line Today.

So, the longtime friends are keeping TJ’s as a cheery saloon, where vintage-style liquor posters and expansive beer menus adorn the walls. The menu is also filled with recognizable favorites, such as fried-chicken-and-waffle sandwich and slow-braised short-rib tacos. The food is even still being prepared by the original kitchen staff.

However, not everything is remaining the same, as Papatzikas and Peticacis have decided to make some additions to the menu. These include incorporating a selection of Mediterranean-style appetizers – like grilled calamari and mussels bathed in a zesty red sauce – that reflect their Greek roots.

Also, TJ’s will now offer enhanced weekly specials such as French-cut pork chops with a maple-Dijon glaze and an eight-ounce filet mignon served with a wine reduction.

The beer selection is even increasing from the bar’s previous 24 taps to 32.
