Eagle Scout, Henderson High School’s Duke-Bound Valedictorian Wins Dunkin’ Regional Scholarship
Vijay Anne, the valedictorian of Henderson High School’s Class of 2020 who will attend Duke University, is one of 25 students in the Greater Philadelphia region to win a $2,000 academic scholarship from Dunkin’ and its area franchises.
The 11th Annual Dunkin’ Regional Scholarship Program, in partnership with Scholarship America, helps high school seniors and college students in southeastern Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey, and Kent and New Castle counties in Delaware to pursue a part-time or full-time undergraduate degree at the institution of their choice.
Anne, an Exton resident, was a member of the Student Council, Pennsylvania All-State Quiz Bowl Team, Future Business Leaders of America, and the National Honor Society. He was a finalist for the U.S. National Chemistry Olympiad, a gold medalist at the National Latin Exam, and a recipient of the West Chester Area Education Association Spellman Humanitarian Award.
Anne also participates in Boy Scouts and holds the title of an Eagle Scout. He plans to pursue a degree in Biomedical Engineering at Duke.
Scholarship recipients will enjoy a special visit at their residence from the Dunkin’ Community Cruiser, which will provide students and their family and friends a well-deserved coffee break between now and Aug. 11.
