Kaplans Fine Jewelry in West Chester is giving away a diamond bracelet to honor front-line workers and is asking people to nominate their hometown heroes, so it can select one person who has gone above and beyond as the recipient, writes Mike Dougherty for KYW Newsradio.

The jewelry store’s owners, Lisa and Ivan Kaplan, have organized the giveaway to thank doctors, nurses, paramedics, and retail employees who have helped the county get through the pandemic.

“It’s so important right now,” said Lisa. “Every bit of positive energy that we can get to share with everyone, I think, is going to be really special.”

The pair is giving away a bracelet that is valued at $600. The winner will get the chance to choose from a couple of equally priced options. Meanwhile, the person who nominates the winner will receive a $100 gift certificate.

“The staff at the store is going to judge the submissions,” said Ivan.
