Above are two of the prints in Downingtown artist Jeff Schaller’s new COVID-19 Series.

Downingtown artist Jeff Schaller has spent his time in quarantine creating silkscreen prints that aim to not only add some cheer to our lives but also put food on someone else’s table.

Schaller’s COVID-19 Series features nine different prints, and he is donating 25 percent of their proceeds to the Chester County Food Bank. Thus far, he has raised $2,512 for the charity.

“I make art and wanted to help through my art,” he said. “While putting a smile on your face, the prints will also help people in need.”

To promote his latest work, Schaller, who graduated from Arcadia University, filmed a few videos with his family that are both hilarious and enlightening.

“The prints are inspired by these strange times,” he said. “They’re not meant to diminish the harsh reality of our current situation but to add a little lightheartedness and to give back to those who need help.”
