Chester County is home to one of the 10 best places for mountain biking in the Philadelphia region, writes Melissa Martens for Philadelphia magazine.

Harmony Hill in Downingtown offers plenty of downhill trails, along with intense climbs, perfect for those looking for the thrill of obstacles.

It features seven miles of trails covered in rocks, roots, and logs.

Among the most challenging routes is the White/Black Trail. This takes riders through twisting forest and across two different peaks of nature. It also includes a sharp drop-off, so riders need to stay alert.

The trails are mostly short, allowing riders time to explore and discover their perfect ride.
