Phoenixville High School graduate Hope Nemceff has been recognized with a prestigious art prize from The Tributary, Lycoming College’s annual literary journal, according to a report from NorthCentralPA.com.

The journal is run entirely by students and supervised by Dr. G.W. Hawkes, professor of English and creative writing at Lycoming College. This year’s edition features the prose, poetry, and art of approximately 20 students.

“We got a lot of great submissions, and I speak for my staff when I say we had a tough time deciding what made the cut,” said Sam Rutan, managing and layout editor of The Tributary.

The journal also awards prizes for the top submission in each category. Nemceff, an art major, received the prize in art for “Dream.”
