Pennsylvania officials have published the full list of more than 6,000 businesses that have been awarded exemptions to Gov. Tom Wolf’s order that closed all of the non-essential businesses in the state, writes Justin Heinze for Phoenixville Patch.

According to the list, 267 businesses in Chester County received an exemption, so they can stay open during the coronavirus pandemic.

The full list, which can be found here, includes a wide array of businesses, including landscaping and mulch businesses, florists, and athletic supply companies, among many others.

The March 19 order was made in an effort to slow down the spread of the deadly virus, which has so far killed more than 3,900 Pennsylvanians. However, businesses were given an option to apply for an exemption to remain open.

Close to 43,000 businesses statewide requested exemptions and more than 6,100 were approved.

Life-sustaining businesses that include grocery stores, pharmacies, and gas stations were allowed to stay open without requiring an exemption.

However the waiver process has been recently criticized by both business owners and politicians. As a result, the state’s Auditor General has announced that he plans to conduct an audit of the process.
