Chester County Residents Doing a Better Job Staying at Home Than Most Pennsylvanians

According to Google tracking, Chester County residents are doing a better job of staying at home during the pandemic than most Pennsylvanians, writes Evan Brandt for The Pottstown Mercury.
Google analyzed data tracking the location of people’s cell phones over the last several weeks.
According to the most recent numbers, updated April 6, the number of Chester County residents leaving home for recreation and retail purposes has dropped 54 percent from the Feb. 23 baseline.
Also, the number of Chester County residents leaving home for the grocery store or pharmacy has decreased by 38 percent, while the number of residents leaving home for transit stations plummeted 72 percent.
