RKL Launches Coronavirus Resource Center, Webinar Series to Help Employers Navigate Pandemic Impact

By

As more coronavirus mitigation strategies continue to take effect, businesses and organizations are left wondering what it all means for their operations, their workforces, and their bottom lines.

To help local organizations navigate these fast-changing and complex issues, professional services firm RKL LLP launched a weekly webinar series, “Coronavirus and Its Impact on People, Process and Profits.” RKL will help employers and business leaders cut through the deluge of information and identify what needs to be done both in the short and long-term. Each Friday, RKL advisors will give the latest updates, answer questions and pinpoint action items.

The inaugural session of the series focused on the Families First Coronavirus Response Act and its various provisions like paid sick and medical leave. Stephane Smith, HR Consultant, Eric Wenger, Tax Partner, and Ryan Hurst, Consulting Partner, addressed critical questions like:

  • What are the key components of the Act?
  • What incentives does it offer employers and employees?
  • In what scenarios will employers find this Act is costly for them?
  • What new requirements must employers follow?
  • What must I communicate to my employees?
  • Given the potential for temporary business closures and employee quarantining, how can I plan to minimize the operational and financial toll on my business?

Visit to RKL’s new Coronavirus Employer Resource Center to watch a recording of this webinar. There, local organizations and businesses will also find up-to-date information and actionable guidance and insights from the RKL team.
