Jhamir Brickus, Coatesville High School’s all-time leading scorer, has chosen to play college basketball at La Salle University, writes Pete DiGiovanni for PA Prep Live.

“I want to thank everyone for their love and support throughout my high school career in Coatesville,” Brickus said. “It was all love. Go Explorers.”

Brickus became Coatesville’s all-time leading scorer in the last game of his career, when he managed to score 26 points in a loss to Roman Catholic in the first round of the state playoffs.

Throughout the season, he averaged a little more than 23 points per game. He led Coatesville to a 20-8 record, as well as a share of the Ches-Mont League National Division title.

“He has a very high basketball IQ,” said Coatesville coach Marc Turner. “He can get to the basket and finish at the rim and is an explosive offensive player.”
