Two CVS pharmacies in Chester County have been transformed into new HealthHUBs and are now offering an expanded range of healthcare services and products, writes John George for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

“The purpose of this model is to put patients at the center of their care,” said Anthony Riccardo, regional director for CVS Pharmacy.

The HealthHUB model features a broader range of services that help patients manage chronic conditions, more health and wellness products, and health professionals to provide advice and personalized care alongside pharmacists.

“Customers tell us they want local access to convenient, personalized, and integrated healthcare,” said Riccardo. “Our HealthHUB locations do just that.”

Among the new offerings for HealthHUB customers are products such as health devices that sync to a mobile phone, fitness essentials, sleep apnea products, education, and counseling for patients with chronic illnesses.

There is also pharmacist-led diabetes counseling, as well as plans for quitting smoking, expanded MinuteClinic services, annual diabetic exams, and wellness rooms for group events.

CVS stores with HealthHUBs in Chester County are located at 870 East Baltimore Pike in Kennett Square and 3015 East Lincoln Highway in Thorndale.
