The Arc of Chester County just received a donation of more than $2,000 from Benchmark Federal Credit Union, which held a year-long fundraising campaign among its employees who wore blue jeans to work.

“We are incredibly grateful for our partnership with Benchmark Federal Credit Union,” said Jeanne Meikrantz, Executive Director of The Arc of Chester County. “We are honored to be this year’s recipient of their annual employee fundraising tradition.”

Every Friday, Benchmark employees have the option to wear jeans to work in exchange for a donation to a local nonprofit. The funds are annually donated to a different Chester County organization, and this year, the check for $2,062.62 was presented to the staff of The Arc of Chester County for its role as a leading provider of services to people with developmental and intellectual disabilities and their families.

“As we prepare to celebrate 80 years of service, we remain committed to partnering with organizations that ensure the well-being of the community we serve,” said Daniel J. Machon Jr., President and CEO of Benchmark Federal Credit Union. “This annual donation from our employees is one of our proudest traditions.”
