Public Health Nurse

This position will conduct a nursing assessment for each client with every interaction in immunization TB/STD/HIV; obtain thorough health history at time of initial visit and update as needed during successive visits, including safety assessment; conduct interviews of county residents who have reports showing Chester County and Pennsylvania Department of Health trackable diseases, including confirmatory discussion with resident’s physician; accurately administer vaccines, tuberculosis drugs, sexually transmitted diseases drugs, and PPD for tuberculin testing.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in nursing, four years of job-related experience, and RN license issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing; excellent interpersonal skills; strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to prepare and maintain good nursing records and reports, and strong working knowledge of nursing theory, principles, and practices.

Chief Deputy Coroner

This position investigates and completes reports as necessary for cases and investigations, including scene investigations, phone investigations, and death notifications; finalizes cases and death certificates; and coordinates, reviews, and oversees the monthly transport and investigation schedule.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in healthcare, criminal justice, forensic science, or a related discipline; seven years of experience in medicolegal death investigations in a coroner or medical examiner office; and a minimum of two years of management or supervisory experience.

Charge Nurse

This position oversees the day-to-day functions on the nursing units in accordance with applicable policies and regulations; participates in SNF planning, decision-making, and policy formation at management meetings; and performs audits and performance evaluations.

The ideal candidate will possess licensure as a registered nurse and experience in long-term care; excellent interpersonal, organizational, customer service, and communication skills; and a general understanding of human resource guidelines and basic fiscal planning.
