Beer lovers who have a sweet tooth are in for a true treat, as Yuengling and Hershey’s are joining forces for the first time to create a chocolate-infused beer, writes Nick Vadala for The Philadelphia Inquirer.

Two of Pennsylvania’s oldest companies are collaborating on a chocolate porter that will be available this month in more than a dozen states. The brew is a limited release, and it is expected that supplies will last until around February.

The beer has been dubbed Yuengling Hershey’s Chocolate Porter. It was created using Yuengling’s Dark Brewed Porter as a base. The classic brew already has some chocolate notes as it is made with dark-roasted and caramel malts.

The Pottsville-based brewery’s porter was infused with chocolate bars, syrup, and nibs from Hershey’s. The result is a new, 4.7 percent ABV brew that boasts a rich, chocolaty finish. Yuengling recommends pairing it with barbecued and smoked meats, or with cheeses and desserts.
