Local Pizzeria Recognized for Making One of the 101 Best Pies in America

By

King of Prussia’s Pizzeria Vetri offers some of the best pizza in the nation, according to The 101 Best Pizzas in America, a list published by The Daily Meal.

The local pizza joint made the cut out of nearly 1,000 pizzas considered this year, coming in at No. 62.

Pizzeria Vetri also has two locations in Philadelphia. It was born from the success of the thin-crust pies served by Chef Marc Vetri at his casual Philadelphia Italian restaurant Osteria.

The pizzas offered at the Montgomery County establishment include the delicious Speck, which comes with smoky cured speck, pistachio pesto, balsamic, mozzarella, roasted cippolini onions, and Parmigiano, and the just-as-tasty Gambaretto with rock shrimp, salsa verde, scallions, and Parmigiano.

There is also the Salciccia, which has a divine combination of fennel sausage, roasted fennel, and tomato sauce.

Another must-try is the Rotolo, a crispy pizza dough pinwheel filled with house-made mortadella sausage and ricotta topped with pistachio pesto.
